The HCS Little Eagles Pre-K program will provide your child with an educational foundation important for success in kindergarten.
Using ABeka curriculum, students will learn phonics, and writing and number skills. Students will receive instruction in Reading, Writing, Language Development, Number Concepts, Bible and Art. Most students will be able to read by the end of the Preschool program.

If you would like for your child to be enrolled in the HCS Pre-K program, contact the school office to have an application sent to you. Fill it out and turn it back into the office with the $25 Application Fee. A member of the HCS staff will contact you to come in for a brief interview with the admissions team.
After your child has been accepted, you will then be contacted with the date of the first day of school

Little Eagles Pre-K will cost $2,320 for the 2011-2012 school year. Payments of $232 will be due by the 15th of each month August through May.
Reading and Writing
Reading is taught using the intensive phonics based A Beka program. Students will complete readers that use very simple words and do not press them to read difficult words until they are ready. This allows them to progress according to their individual reading abilities. Students practice writing skills using activities that reinforce the phonics and numbers lessons the students have learned.

Students will have daily Bible lessons with corresponding activity pages to reinforce the lesson learned. Some of the stories taught throughout the year are: Creation, Heaven, The Good Samaritan, The Prodigal Son, Zacchaeus, and the First Christmas.
