Academics
Heritage Christian School strives to offer each student the opportunity to nurture their God given talents.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:8
IS THE HCS PRE-KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM RIGHT FOR MY CHILD?
Is your child 3 or 4 years old by Sept. 1 of the new school year and fully potty trained?
Are you looking for a Pre-Kindergarten that uses a God-honoring curriculum taught by born-again teachers?
Kindergarten students receive instruction in Reading, Writing, Science, Social Studies, Music, and Bible. Students also have the opportunity to serve the community and put into action the lessons learned during Bible time through community service.
Kindergarten meets Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Children must be 5 years old by September 1 to attend Kindergarten.
The overall goals of the elementary program:
1. To grow in knowledge of the Bible.
2. To build a strong foundation in academic skills.
3. Apply knowledge through hands-on learning.
In addition to core classes, students receive instruction in Spanish, music, art, and physical education. The Spanish program allows students to be familiar with the language and culture.
Elementary students:

3rd-6th may participate in the ACSI Math Olympics
4th-6th may participate in the Scripps National Spelling Bee
4th-6th participate in Elementary Band; students have the opportunity for individual private lessons. Participate in several musical performances: Grandparents' Day, Christmas Program, and Spring Program.
Juniors and Seniors may take classes through Allen County Community College and receive dual high school and college credit. This enables students to graduate with as many as 48 college credits along with their high school diploma.
The core secondary curiculum uses Bob Jones. Other classes include Spanish, Drama, Choir, Band, Computer Applications, PE, and Worship Team. The Worship team provides music for secondary chapel services.
