Mr. Fanning graduated from Emporia State University with a degree in

psychology and secondary math and he also has a State of Kansas certification in mathematics, special education, computer studies, and psychology. He taught in a public school as a special education teacher for four years and as a math teacher for 32 years. Jim began teaching at Heritage Christian School in 2016. His duties include teaching math, Bible, physics, yearbook, computer applications, and coding. Jim and his wife, Nancy, are members of Walnut View Christian Church in Topeka, KS where he is the pastor. They have three adult daughters and seven grandchildren.
